Dr Luke Glanville discusses his work and career in the discipline of International Relations. His research has two strands: the ethical, political, and legal questions that surround international efforts to protect the vulnerable (the Responsibility to Protect, or R2P), and historical thinking and practices of international efforts to protect populations beyond borders to see what contemporary lessons can be drawn from these ideas and practices.
