Yun-bo is a criminal police officer from Jinquan Police Station in Chengdu, China and completed a Masters degree in Criminology at the Chinese People’s Public Security University (CPPSU) Beijing in 2009. In February 2009, Yun-bo was awarded an Australia-China Council scholarship and carried out research on ‘Crime Mapping in Australia and its Implications for Chinese Policing’ in collaboration with the Queensland Police and the Centre for Excellence in Policing Studies (CEPS) at Griffith University.

Yun-bo submitted his thesis in September 2016.
